2025 Tribal Elections - July 12th, 2025 at the Goose Creek Recreation Center from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM. To vote, you must be current with your tribal dues and an active member who has attened at least 2 classes and 1 community event in the past year. If you do not know if your membership is active, email wassamasaw@hotmail.com for your status. ***See Calendar Page for additional notifications.

                                        Dance and Drum Classes

For 2025, the Wassamasaw Tribe is offering members a series of dance and drumming classes, sponsored in part by the SC Arts Commission. The following dances are being taught to the participants who sign up: Men: Traditional and Grass Dance; Women: Traditional. Fancy Shawl, and Jingle. Also being taught is the basics of powwow drumming. Kaya Littleturtle is the instructor of the Men's Drum and Dance Classes, and Sierra Russell is the instructor of the Women's Dance Classes. 2025 Culture Class Schedule 

A sign up form will be located under our Facebook Events Section 3 weeks prior to each culture class for you to sign up for attendance. Once class reached capacicty, you will be informed if you are on a waiting list for any cancellations. All classes are free of charge.

Please Note: Time of Applique Beading Class on 3/15/2025 has changed to  9:15 AM -11:30 AM

2025 Annual Powwow will have 2 days this year - Friday October 10, 2025 with be Native American Education Day for area school children and then the Powwow will take place on Saturday October 11, 2025.  Time will be from 10 AM - 5 PM with Grand Entry at 12 PM.
