Programs and Services that may be of assistance for Tribal Members in need:

Below are a list of local services and their links. We are working diligently to bring resources and services to those members and their identified needs. We attempt to partner with local and state agencies to fill those needs when able. If you are able to help or volunteer in any way, all help is appreciated. Youth Development Programs:

Be a Mentor Initiative - connects kids with adult mentors

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Carolina Youth Development Center - serves Berkeley, Charleston, Dorchester counties

Carolina Youth Development Center - healing services for children who have experienced physical or sexual abuse, neglect, abandonment, or have severe emotional disorders

LifeManagement Center - assists individuals and families with learning disabilities and ADHD

Louie's Kids - fights childhood obesity

Bridge of Hope - offers afterschool programs for children, GED programs for adults

Financial Assistance Programs:


Carolina Children's Charity - financial assistance for children with birth defects or diseases

Family Services, Inc. - North Charleston - services include credit counseling, debt management, homebuyer education, family violence intervention, and bankruptcy counseling

Increasing HOPE - North Charleston - financial education

Humanities Foundation –ShelterNet – emergency financial assistance

 

Food Assistance Programs:


Lowcountry Food Bank- provides food assistance in the Tri-County area

Low Country Hope-Providing shelter, food, and other assistance

Helping Hands of Goose Creek-Food pantry, clothing, support groups

Tricounty Family Ministries - Food, clothing, medical care, counseling, transportation, shelter, financial - Lunch served Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

  • South Carolina 211 - North Charleston - provides transportation for seniors
  • Palmetto Palace - helps with lodging, transportation and meals for those in need with a family member in a hospital
